Bruce MacLane Jr. is Executive Vice President of Oxygen Executive Search and a member of the firm’s Retail and Consumer Practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Bruce was a Principal at Heidrick & Struggles and a leader in the firm’s Global Consumer/Retail Practice. Bruce has expertise in recruiting senior executives as both a search consultant and as a client. Bruce was with The Home Depot, where he served in two capacities: Director of Talent Management – Western Division and Director of Executive Staffing. As Director of Talent Management – Western Division, Bruce was responsible for Staffing, Organizational Effectiveness, and Home Depot’s high-potential leadership development program. As the Director of Executive Staffing, Bruce ran all officer recruiting for this $81 billion, 335,000 employee, 2000+ store home improvement retailer.
Bruce has an extensive recruiting background across multiple sectors with a heavy emphasis on the industrial and consumer/retail sectors. Bruce has recruited across all functional areas in these sectors and has worked with a range of companies from venture capital-backed start-ups to large, publicly held firms.
Before entering the executive search field, Bruce was with Glaxo’s Allen & Hanbury division in pharmaceutical sales, where he was responsible for maintaining and developing new clients for respiratory product lines. Prior to Glaxo, Bruce was with IBM’s United States Marketing Services Group in Atlanta as a contract consultant performing database design and analysis, software support, and education and marketing programs support.
Bruce received his BA in Marketing from the University of Georgia and is a native of Atlanta.
