Alison Byers

Dr. Byers is the Vice President, Psychological and Assessment Services at Diversified Search. Dr. Byer’s initiatives include: the use of standardized assessment to augment traditional evaluative approaches to selection, applying behavioral interview techniques and data analysis for the realization of best search practices. Dr. Byers has completed advanced training in Hogan interpretation and is assisting in the development of the firm’s transition services and has lectured widely on issues related to women and assertiveness. She works across all sectors and practices and has a particular interest in the Non-profit sector.   Prior to joining Diversified Search, Dr. Byers gained extensive clinical experience in family therapy and interpersonal trauma and currently maintains a private practice as a Clinical Psychologist.  Formerly she worked with the Department of Psychiatry at North Shore University Hospital in New York, and served as the Clinical Director for a community mental health center. In addition Dr. Byers served as the Assistant Director for the Psychological Services Center at L.I.U. C.W. Post Clinical Psychology Program, and held a position as an Adjunct Professor and supervisor for doctoral-level psychology students. Dr. Byers also trained as a chef in Paris.
