Neysa Dillon Brown is a Managing Director with Diversified Search’s Healthcare Services Practice. Developing diverse, healthcare management teams to meet organizational and business priorities as well as addressing health disparity issues has been a hallmark of Neysa Dillon Brown’s stellar career in healthcare. A keen ability to build partnerships, drive organizational change and implement innovative programs has been instrumental in her success in the academic, healthcare delivery, association and community settings. Her focus has been on partnering with hospitals and healthcare systems on talent acquisition, executive and diversity recruitment, organizational assessments and pipeline development. Some clients include nationally recognized Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Duke University Health System, University of Maryland Medical Center, Northwestern University Hospital, American Cancer Society, Ascension Health, Catholic Health Initiatives, and Grady Health System. A lifelong commitment to advancing the careers of minority healthcare professionals she is often sought out for career advice and sharing on obstacles to minority career advancement.

Some of her consulting engagements included developing community-based innovation strategies to address disparities in pre-term births, conducting employee and community focus groups, and launching an organizational assessment of patient-centered communications utilizing survey tools to determine if culturally appropriate and respectful communication is practiced throughout the organization. The community-based initiative between the CDC and Healthy African American Families (HAAF) to address disparities in birth outcomes resulted in the publication, “One Hundred Acts of Kindness Toward a Pregnant Women: Building Reproductive Social Capital in Los Angeles”. Other previous positions include Director of Education, American Hospital Association’s Institute for Diversity in Health Management, State University of NY’s (SUNY) Health Science Center of Brooklyn where she served in a number of capacities including Assistant Provost for Student Affairs.
